TURCK's New Q12 Uprox+ Sensors provide unrivaled sensing ranges from a miniature sensor. Q12 Uprox+ TURCK proximity sensors are able to achieve a full 5 mm sensing range when flush mounted; the furthest among similar products available on the market today. The miniature sensors augment TURCK's existing line of Uprox+ sensors that detect all metals at the same rated sensing distance. Q12 Turck proximity switches measure a mere 12 x 40 x 26 mm, and feature an integrated 45 degree connector to facilitate use in space restrictive places. The Q12 is available with the M8 picofast, M12 eurofast or direct PUR cable connection, and utilizes a two-color LED that displays both operating voltage and dampened state.

Uprox+ Series TURCK Proximity Sensors incorporate coils on a PCB with staggered oscillator frequencies to avoid mutual interference. Leuze BCL 8 Bar Code System

Leuze BCL 8 Series is a new wave in technology. It is the world's smallest barcode reader but not small in capability. It has a protection rating of IP 67. Its very small size makes it easy to mount in many small places. It is made out of metal (die cast zinc) making it very durable. For easy connection to the BCL 8 a MA 8 can be used. There are many different types of mounting systems and connecting cables for Leuze Lumiflex BCL 8.

In addition to compliance with the IEC 61496 (Type 2) international safety standard, excellent performance with good ease of use is provided in a wide variety of applications from compact machinery installed side-by-side to save space, through to large equipment for long-range, wide-area sensing. The SF2B Series Of SUNX safety light curtain helps to make safety measures easier and plays an indispensable part in creating a safe working environment. The sensing area contains no dead spaces. Even with serial connections, there are no dangerous openings at the interfaces between SUNX light curtains. Seamless structure with reduced seam area prevents intrusion of particles such as oil, mists, and dust. This makes simpler and more compact installation possible. The inner unit is protected by a cylindrical inner case.

The seams such as unit and lens surfaces have been greatly reduced, so that particles such as oil mists and dust are prevented from getting in. The protective structure is IP65 (IEC). A double scanning method and retry processing are new functions exclusive to SUNX that are effective in eliminating the effect of momentary extraneous light from peripheral equipment.
Two Types Of SUNX Safety Light Curtains are available for different minimum sensing object sizes. Furthermore, sub-sensors for serial connection (optional) can be used to connect up to three sets of light curtains (up to a total maximum of 128 beam channels; however the SF2B-A* allows up to 96 beam channels when two sets are connected, and up to 64 beam channels when three sets are connected).

The MSR300 expandable modular safety monitoring relay systems are the latest in safety relay architecture. Using plug-and-play digital I/O expansion modules, the MSR300 offers the ability for a logic configuration with multiple inputs and controlling multiple independent outputs. The system can control up to 3 group outputs and perform simple function block logic configurations through rotary switch settings.
The MSR300 provides up to 20 input circuits per base module to allow safety control of larger, more complex manufacturing equipment with a single relay system. Additional advantages include:

Monitoring or controlling motors, heaters, or other power consuming electrical devices has never been easier. With Red Lion's New Non-Contact Current Transducers you can convert those high level current signals into simple 4 - 20 mA or 0 - 10 VDC process signals. These new sensors are available in solid core cases for new wiring, and split core cases to simply clamp over existing wiring. They are perfect for long cable runs and very cost effective.
The model CTD is a DC current transducer combining a Hall Effect sensor and a signal conditioner in a single package. The CTD has jumper selectable input current ranges of 50A, 75A, and 100A and provides a self-powered 4-20 mA output. It is available in a split case model only.

The model CTL average responding AC current transducers combine a current transformer and a signal conditioner in a single package. The CTL transducers are designed for use with “linear” or sinusoidal AC waveforms, and are best suited for constant speed loads or on/off loads. They feature jumper selectable input current ranges up to 200A and have models with 0-10VDC or 4-20 mA outputs. Models are available in both solid and split core cases.

The model CTR true RMS AC current transducers combine a current transformer and a signal conditioner in a single package. The CTR transducers provide a “true RMS” output on distorted waveforms found on VFD or SCR outputs, and on linear loads in “noisy” power environments. Select the CTR series for variable speed or SCR controlled loads. They feature jumper selectable input current ranges up to 200A and are available in a split core case with a 4-20 mA output.
The model CTS AC current operated switches combine a current transformer, signal conditioner and limit alarm in a single package and can be used for status monitoring or proof of operation applications. They offer an extended setpoint range of 1-150 A, universal solid-state outputs capable of switching AC or DC, and are available in both solid and split core cases.

Aromat NAIS/Matsushita Electric Works established a new world standard "SLIM" PLC. Starting from 10 I/O to 32 I/O, the CPU is only 25(w) x 90(h) x 70(d)mm. This is about 1/4 the size of the traditional bulky PLC style called "Brick". The FP0 saves precious panel space and money. Relay output types have removable screw terminal blocks. Power supply connector is also quick disconnect. Easy installation specially when you duplicate many systems. Up to 16 loops of PID and auto tuning are built into this “SLIM” PLC. The FP0 uses floating point math for its PID calculation which is more accurate than an integer PID. With the new thermocouple input unit, the FP0 can easily and accurately control temperature while it’s controlling I/O. The PID values can be easy calculated by the built-in auto tuning feature. 16 Auto Tuning loops can run at same time. The I-PD algorithm is also available to offer smoother control for sensitive applications. The picture left shows how small controller can control 8 loops of temperature, I/O and 2 axis of Motion.

The Aromat/NAiS FP0 Series PLC is still expandable up to 3 expansion unit right side of the CPU. It is also possible to mix and match with relay, transistor and analog. The FP0 can communicate via Ethernet, Internet, Modem as well as RS232C/485 for RTU application. Or FP0 can send E-mail out with FPWebServer. You can also monitor and edit the program via Modem, Ethernet, RS485 and RS232C. The FP0 is still world smallest PLC but it got powerful feature and industrially built. The FP0 has simultaneous 2 axis trapezoidal motion control. Programming is very simple. All you have to do is to set the low speed, high speed, acceleration time, target position and you are ready to do motion control. You can control up to 9.5KHz total.

TURCK's New M12 Eurofast AC/DC Junction Box contains an integrated DC power supply that allows the use of DC sensors in AC applications. This unique 4-port junction box simulates a 2-wire AC sensor providing a cost-effective solution that is easier than installing a separate power supply and relays.

Costs are reduced by using DC sensors, which are generally less expensive, instead of AC sensors. The newly integrated power supply also permits the end user to utilize the more prevalent and varied DC sensors in every application, and reduces sensor stock levels.

The AC/DC Interlink BT Junction Box offers 85-132 VAC input, 100 mA output per port, and 24 VDC output to PNP short-circuit protected sensors only. The die-cast aluminum alloy, fully encapsulated housing offers IP 67 protection when all ports are connected or are covered with closure caps. Lenze Group research into gearbox materials, together with extensive test running, has resulted in a doubling of the service life of geared motors. One example is a change in the material in the rotary shaft seals to achieve double service life, resulting in reduced life-cycle costs for users. The new shaft seals are already being fitted on highly dynamic servo geared motors in series production.

Drive manufacturers such as Lenze can influence approximately 30% of a machine life-cycle costs by reducing maintenance and downtime, also by making parts more durable. Lenze has also been able to simplify servicing of the gears by adding plugs to small gearboxes which make it easier to check the level, top up and drain the oil.

Vent valves, which are now also used to provide pressure equalisation in gearboxes, further help to reduce the wear on shaft seals and extend their life. Where the application calls for stopping and holding torques, particularly under conditions of power failure, spring applied friction brakes are fitted to the motors. Here Lenze, working in conjunction with their brake partner INTORQ, have introduced new friction materials for the brake linings. Compared to conventional brake linings, the new materials have doubled service life resulting in lower service costs and greater durability.

Increased productivity, reduced down times and longer service intervals for machines and plant are demands which drive technology must meet today. At the same time elements like geared motors are expected to run at higher speeds and be more compact, resulting in higher mechanical and thermal stresses. These product improvements demonstrate that Lenze is a competent partner in the design, implementation and operation of drive solutions.
